The Tamera & ZEGG Festival - From Crisis to Connection
4-Day Festival
June 18 - June 21, 2026
Join us for an inspirational gathering where two visionary intentional communities – Tamera (Portugal) and ZEGG (Germany) – come together to explore elements of a new, peaceful culture. In a spirit of co-creation, we will inquire into how love, community and trust in life can guide us towards building a culture of inner and outer peace in these challenging times.

Two Pioneering Communities coming together
Tamera, Portugal
Born in 1978 with a small group, Tamera has grown into a community of around 160 people (plus a growing international network) committed to building decentralized, autonomous models for a post-capitalist world.
We believe in a future without war and in love without fear. Our mission is to build “Healing Biotopes” — research-centres that serve as examples and laboratories for a new planetary culture based on strong ethical foundations.
Our vision is “Terra Nova,” a planetary culture built on a network of non-violent, decentralized, autonomous communities that live in cooperation and trust.

ZEGG, Germany
Founded in 1991, the combination of living community and educational centre makes ZEGG a special place. In the midst of our social and ecological model project, living and learning are interwoven.
Our educational programmes impart lived knowledge and offer experiential spaces that combine self-responsibility, touchability and open communication. In this way, we promote social change - towards more awareness, cooperation and sustainability. Our seminars focus on topics such as communication and social competence, art and ecology, love and relationships and community building.

Team
Vera
She lived in ZEGG before she moved to Tamera in Portugal at the age of 14. Since then, she has taken on different roles within the community, with a passion for creating global alliances with other inspiring front-line projects, especially in the geopolitical South. She is the mother of three children, and sustainable development (SD) has always been a passion of hers.
Gerrit
Since 2022, Gerrit — who has been visiting ZEGG since his youth — has been living in the ZEGG community. Here, he organizes and co-leads festivals, including the Summer Camp in 2023 and 2024, and the Easter gathering in 2025. Since January 2025, he has been one of four managing directors of ZEGG. Before that, he worked for various (start-up) companies in Berlin that contribute to sustainable transformation in the world.
Jessica
Jessica studied theater in Leipzig and worked as a professional actress for many years. She loves to act, perform and improvise, and in these artistic expressions finds a powerful channel for her creative energies. She joined Tamera in 2017, where she finds a place to perform and live these life energies not only “on stage” but in real life. She’s a community builder and socially supports adults, youth and children.
Elias
Lives at ZEGG since 2022. Elias completed his training in the ZEGG garden and works there with great joy as part of a dedicated team. He’s also involved in the Center for World Philosophy and Religion. The question that drives him is: How and where can we be effective in today’s world? Elias is a person full of curiosity and energy who can get excited about many different topics.
Benjamin
He lives in Tamera and is a next-generation leader, speaker and global networker, director of The Grace Foundation, co-leader of the Global Love School and father of 5 children.
Hannah
Hannah Stietenroth studied political science and works in the fields of youth education and group facilitation.
A question that continues to guide her is: How can we strengthen relational competence – with ourselves, with one another, with the earth, and within our social and political systems?
In her educational work, she accompanies groups through processes around mediation, trauma healing, and democratic engagement. She is a certified Yoga Teacher and Holistic Bodywork Practitioner. Since 2016, she has lived and learned in different intentional communities.
Mara
Mara is a community builder, a researcher into freeing love from fear and works in the Political Ashram.
She was born in the Black Forest, Germany, into the “Bauhuette” community in 1984. When she was 6 years old, she moved with most of the community to a town near Berlin, where they established ZEGG. She spent her youth in ZEGG and went to Tamera in 2001. Since then she lives in Tamera.
She serves various groups and courses within Tamera as a group facilitator. She is currently involved in the spiritual and social education within the Political Ashram. In this work, she dedicates herself especially to studying the spiritual realms. Throughout her life, learning love has played a crucial role. She continues to learn through the processes she undergoes, deepening her ability to anchor herself in the spiritual world so she can carry out this work.
Rina
A systemic therapist, dancer, and experiential educator born in 1994, she has been living in the ZEGG community since 2023. Rina combines therapeutic sensitivity with a warm, embodied presence. She loves witnessing how groups grow together, how people unfold their potential, and how shared pathways emerge for navigating what feels challenging. What matters most to her is creating a space where mistake-friendliness and mutual support can flourish — a place where people learn to meet themselves and others with openness and compassion. Her experience in community spans from scouting to spiritual groups and group therapies, all the way to communal life at ZEGG.Plus over 15 additional facilitators from ZEGG & Tamera offering workshops, talks, rituals and home groups.
Dolores
Dolores Richter is committed to joint research for a profound cultural transformation. “How can we shape our coexistence among humans and between humans and nature cooperatively? How can we create a life-serving culture?” — she sees the fundamental elements of this in being embedded in communal and spiritual connection, living in accordance with one’s nature, communication, relational skills, and mature sexuality. Through communal and spiritual awareness, the quality of our romantic relationships changes fundamentally. They become more honest, generous, and generate energy for our contribution to the world. Dolores Richter was part of the project group from 1980, out of which the ZEGG emerged in 1991, and she has been active in ZEGG and the community movement ever since. She has held various professional roles and gathered extensive interpersonal experience. She lives in a long-term open partnership, is the mother of a son, a love researcher, and the author of the book Liebe als soziales Kunstwerk.
Plus over 15 additional facilitators from ZEGG & Tamera offering workshops, talks, rituals and home groups.
